I have found a good deal on some Moab rims, but have no lift yet. Can I fit these on an 07 with a stock suspension? Would rubbing up front be the only problem?

No you can't! Now tell me where I can buy these wheels!!!

Just kidding! :) I'm running 245/70 R17 on stock wheels now. They are 30.5" and the ones you mention are 29.5". I had a little rubbing that I solved by doing a 1/2" clevis lift on my otherwise stock suspension. since you are aiming at 1" less, you may not have to to the clevis lift... but hey it's cheap & easy! 8)

i run 245/70s on my unlifted '03 sport. Isn't the only difference with Moabs the backspacing? I guess they will push the tires out a bit further giving the chance to rub at full lock...I get no rubbing with that size tire and factory rims though.

The wider rims is what will give you problems, not the tires. That size you can run no problems on stock wheels. With the Moabs being wider and different backspacing it has the edge of the tire at the very edge of the fender. It will more than likely hit either the pinch weld or the bumper in front

Yeah I have the 245/70r16's on there right now with no rubbing with stock steel, but darn I really wanted some Moabs. I don't want a lot of headaches though to make them fit.

you could always go down to a stock size tire like 235/70 to be on the safe side...but I know you already have the meats on.

My 245/70/16 tires 'touch' the fog light area when I turn to lock with my Moabs.

They would probably rub pretty bad but that could be fixed with some trimming.

slowly back away from buying the Moabs and just let me know where they are so I can buy them and you wont have to worry about them any longer! I still need at least two more for my "project"

Like Jeepjeepster, my 245/70/16 Revos mounted on Moab's and riding on a 2" spacer lift rub slightly at full lock in the fog light access door area. I never really heard them rub, but I did notice the wear on the access door. I can't tell any difference on the tires though and the wear on the access door does not cause me concern. So ... I agree, on a non lifted Liberty, I'm pretty sure they would rub.
