so i live in illinois and it was rather cold this morning. after putting the jeep in reverse to back out, as i applied pressure to the breaks it seemed extreamly stiff. like there was air in the line. the pedal was really stiff and hard to push down. it took a good slow 2 or 3 seconds for the jeep to stop. any ideas of what is wrong. |

air will cause the brakes to be spongy. was it cold enough for something to be frozen? |

do you have rear drum or disc brakes? best bet is pull the wheels and check the brakes. |
