I took the libby to the dealer to have some of the trans upgrades loaded onto the computer.

and it made a pretty noticeable difference in the way the trans acts, for the better.

I recommend it, but i have an 03 42RLE, not sure whats out there for newer ones, but it cleared up alot of its confusion at slower speeds :D

too much money

going rate is 85, i got a discounted labor rate.

they charge for 1 hour of labor, so that might vary by state.

I think you can get them for free on the Bumper to Bumper portion of the warranty.

never took mine in for the lower ball joint recall, replaced the right one at about 55000 when it went bad, the left one at 81000 when it went bad, withe Moogs of course, still original brakes, hoses, belts etc did have to replace one sensor due to a wire getting caught off roading and it hit the driveshaft and wore the wiring into, other than that NO PROBLEMS

After you've checked to see if there are any flashes for the 45rfe's computer, get B&G to flash your PCM with an aggressive flash and delete the torque management. There are 2 shift kits from Transgo. One is like the kit for the 42rle, and is a shift correction kit. The other is a high performance shift kit called a reprogramming kit. Either one will help it lock up a lot better and shifter quicker. Very easy to stay in a gear. The torque converter is a big part of the problem too. Upgrade it to an APS setup for your application for a nice improvement. You won't believe the difference getting your transmission and programming fixed will make. Then, if you've gone to bigger tires, you just need to spend the next round of money on 4.10's.

Edit:
Just read your signature about selling. I would just do the fluid changes. That will at least help.

I think there were 2 or 3 updated prgrams they put on, one was for delayed engagement, i think another was for 4-2 shifts, and maybe the 3rd was for something else ???

the Computers were down when i picked it up, so he couldn't pull up everything
