I've decided I don't want or need a full bumper. Just some really worthy tow points. Not mopar hooks. Any Ideas? I like the detours backbone but I don't need the winch. It would feel like a waste to buy it just to grind off the winch mount plate. Is there anything in production out there? I've seen a few custom fabbed shackle points on here but I dont know if I could trust myself with that.

you can get a D shackle from a trucking supply place and the bracket that it mounts to and place it on the unibody frame where he fatory holes are

Thanks for the reply. Saw that one, I'm not sure where they will come out of my bumper. Don't like the idea of the 3" drop. I think it would put more stress on the bolts. I'll have to take a look and see where the holes are.

i used a 2" drop and did some mild trimming. looks great!!! i just did the other side today ive been putting it off for a while. ive pulled a few people w/ it and it works great i even use it to jack the libby up w/ the high lift sometimes.

Mopar hooks will do just fine
unless you do something stupid

have yet to see one bend or break on a YJ/TJ and I wheel 2+ times a month
the hooks for the KJ are bigger
