I picked up this M416 trailer about 2 weeks ago. I know, I know, there are no KJs in the pictures, but it will be towed by my KJ from time to time. It should make a nice trailer for hauling camping gear and other stuff:

The lights are civilian lights. It has 30" Goodyear Wrangler tires, and the wheels are from an early CJ or Jeep truck. The wheels are the exact same thing that is on my Willys, so that's a little added bonus. It still has the military lunette hitch hook and military reflectors. It also has the original data plates.

Nice trailer!! 8) My search for something similar at a decent price has led me to, more than likely, make one myself. I still keep shopping for that uber-deal though.

Nice looking trailer!

Got some sagging action going on with the XJ. Those things seem to be bad for that. Just replaced a set about a month ago.

Over in Afganistan we had about 30 of those, they where not on our books cause they where all supposed to be destroyed, they are hard to find. You can get the slightly bigger versions from most DRMO web auction, though you'll be bidding on a whole lot.

Interesting so when are they going to give us some shots of the "new" trailers? Talk them into it soon. Wish I was out that way seems like most of these 1/4 tons are out west that are for sale!

Don't give up hope tommudd. I found this one in PA. I've seen several others for sale for $650-$1000. I got this one for less than that, which is why I picked it up. :D It doesn't have the original wheels or tail lights, so that kept some of the military collector guys away. Most of the ones I've seen have been in the $750 price range.

I'm going to paint it up to match my Willys CJ2A, which is black frame and olive drab green body with a little touch of white writing.

Yeah, the rear of the XJ sags a little, but there is actually a low spot in the driveway where the back tires of the XJ are resting in that photo It makes the sag look worse than it actually is.

That thing looks like it's in great shape. Nice find.

IH8MUD.COM and jeepsunlimited both have dedicated trailer sites as well with a ton of great information. IH8MUD even though they are a Toyota site has a lot of great info as far as setting up for expeditions , trailers etc.
