New brake pads should never be put on old rotors.
Really? why's that?
I just helped my buddy change his brakes this weekend and yes it's a very simple job. Just make sure it's something you stay on top of. He let his go a bit to long and they couldn't even turn his rotors because there wasn't enough left. He got to buy new rotors, needless to say $200 later we finally got his brakes back up and running. It can be a very simple and cheap job if you stay on top of it and do it when it needs to be done!
