If anyone out there has a caliper or other accurate measuring tool can you please grab 2 quick number for me??

I need to know the height and width of the stock side rails on the roof. I know they changed the rails on certain years, even the rennies, so please state the year and model.

Thanks!
Bryan

Where do you want the height taken from? the height looks like it might vary from front to back a little.

I can get you the width of the sport rails and I can measure the height of the mounts. I have mine off with the Gecko in it's place.

Edit: The height of the rack at the rear mounting foot is approx 3 inches.

The width of the sport rails are 1 - 9/32" wide.
The height of the sport rails are 1 - 7/16" tall (tube itself)

Hope that helps.

That helps alot Woody, so that on an '07. So now I need some earlier years.

as for location, if you sectioned the rail itself in quarters, the best measurements would be about at the 1/4 mark from each end, doesn't have to be accurate. Pretty much where a the cross rails for a basket would mount

Mounting foot-----l---------------l-----mounting foot
thats my crude drawing the vertical slashes are good measuring points

The rails follow the contoures of the roof pretty good so the 3" height I gave you will be pretty much what you need. Also with the exception of the Rene's that will hold true for all KJ years. The KK's are of course gonna be different.

I have no idea as to the dimesions for the Rene's.
