Thinking of replacing the muffler on my 06 Liberty. Which is better, the Dynomax or Magnaflow and which part number should I get? Just doing the muffler for now. Is it 2 1/2 in and out centre in and out? Thank you for the input.

Hi! Welcome aboard. 2 1/2". Center in, Offset out. Ive heard good stuff about Magnaflow, but some are going with Flowmaster and loving it.

I can't vouch for all magnaflow, but I did a cat back Magnaflow on my Srt and could not have been happier. I never thought that a four cyl could sound so wicked. I don't plan on doing that to the KK, but if I change my mind, I will strongly consider using them again.

I love my aero turbines growl, a bit loud in certain rpm's (1600) in cabin though and takes a bit more work to fit.

I’m in the market for a new muffler; I was leaning towards the Flowmaster 44. After doing some research I found the Thrush Turbo Muffler by Dynomax (#17715) sounds close to what I want. And you can’t beat the price.

Magnaflows are a better constructed muffler when comparing the apples to apples ones. For $79 you can get a flowmaster standard model. For $79 you can get a Magnaflow that is all stainless steel construction. Flowmaster wants like $60 more to get into their stainless steel models. Not to mention, flowmasters are severely chambered and baffled...for my money and for better efficiency, I want a straight through flow muffler...the Magnaflow is that exactly...of course our stock ones are straight through as well.

I've had my magnaflow on there now for a couple months and am loving it. It has a nice growl, no drone and has pumped up my MPG by a mile or two per gallon. I recommend it. 2.5 in and out. Center and offset.

I agree with your take on the Magnaflow 100 percent! I've had mine on my KJ for about 5 months now and its great. Purchase & install at a local shop was approx $130.

I think I must be the only one running the Flow Master knock off...the Flo Pro, sounds good enough for me and was cheap so that even makes it better!

i have a flowmaster and love it!.. mine isnt the diamond plate one (it wasnt out yet) but mine has acted like a skid many times and never hurt at all.. i would suggest it to anyone. however, magnaflow makes their stuff out of stainless steal.. .that would last much longer

Thank you for all the input. I think I have narrowed it down to either the MagnaflowSatin S/S #12256 or the Flowmaster 50 Series SUV. Will probably go with the Magnaflow as it is stainless steel and a straight through design. I do not want too loud though. Anyone have one of these now, how loud is it? Especially in the cab.

I have the Magnaflow SS and it is awesome. Nice grumble at startup...really tough sounding at acceleration, but zero drone or loud cabin noise...just a nice even aggressive rumble. I recommend it highly. You will love it. And, the tone gets richer with age. I can tell you, I've seen quite a few Flowmaster sound clips and they tend to get ricey sounding at those high rpms....the Magnaflow never goes to those tones at any rpms. good stuff. Not too loud, but loud enough to know its there. In the cab, its just a nice sounding rumble....at cruising highways speeds, its very close to stock in noise, just with an added bottom rumble.
