Post subject:  what aftermarket rear caliper to buy?

Hello all!

my driver side rear caliper is sticking. what aftermarket brand has everybody had luck with in the kj application? i see autozone sells cardone. and advanced sells some other brand. or should i go with oem. i kinda figured aftermarket since some (not all) have the rears (oem) stick!

and lastly i have bled rear brakes before. anything i need to watch out for ,like hard to get air out of lines etc...

thanks! mike

Haven't replaced on the KJ but on others I have always had the best luck with NAPA.

yea i just got both front calipers for 100 bucks and thats including pads with them! all assembled, just take the two big main bolts off, unhook brake line, swap over and bam, just bleed, pads and caliper are all essembled on the bracket ready to go. its actuall 170, but when u turn i nyour old calipers/brackets you get 70 back.

idk about the rear, but i would try napa. they said they are raybestos or bendix brand also, one of thsoe 2, i cant remember

I had a right rear seize up around 6months ago and I replaced it with a caliper from Napa. So far Ive not had any issues. :)

I spent some time researching Brake Pads, after watching 2Guys Garage and other shows I found that a brake pad thought very highly of is made by Satisfied Brake. After farther research found that I discovered that Napa, Checker Auto Parts, Advaced Auto Parts, Auto Zone and Pep Boys all carry this superior brake pad as their premeium brake pad. After much consideration I am strongly leaning towards drilled and slotted Rotors and These brake pads with my tax return. From what I've seen these pads are incredible and very dependable.
