Hi all, does anyone know where I can get specific warranty info?
I just got a 2006 liberty with just over 20K on it, so apparently it is still under warranty.
Any info I have been able to find is kinda vague, including what a dealereship told me.
(I did not buy from dealership)
Thanks in advance 8)

I don't believe the 3/36 warranty is transferable to a second owner. The 7/70 powertrain was but they stopped that warranty in 05 and the lifetime warranty they offered since late 07 is not transferable.

The 3year/36,000mile BTB warrenty is there no matter what from the acivated date(from 1st owner) and is automatically transfered till expired no matter how many owners. The only way the 3year/36,000mile BTB warrenty is voided is if a dealer flagged the VIN or the vehicle recieved a salvage/reconstructed title. All other warrenty's need a tranfer fee paid or can not be transfered.

Oh and if you can show proof of vehicle storage and proper storage prep you can get the BTB warrenty extended(time only, not mileage) if you are in the military and deployed in a combat zone.
