OK, so I got a pair of Mopar cross rails, and I've been looking for an upright bike carrier that'd be compatible with them. Being the cheapskate I am, I do NOT want to spend $180ish on the Mopar one. I saw a KJ with a Yakima bike carrier bolted to what looked like Mopar cross rails (just like mine...the brushed aluminum finish and whatnot), but couldn't really make anything out since I was driving. Any input as to what'll be compatible? I understand only Mopar stuff will slide in those nifty little slots...but I don't mind clamping to the bars themselves. Thanks! |

Yakima and/or Thule usually make adapter kits to mount their racks to factory installs.....check their websites via google or call one of their dealers. |

Yes it will, and the price is right! I saw the adaptors, too...but those were a bit...pricey. Looks like the Rocky Mountain rack is the way to go |

The Mopar ones where u take the front wheel off are from what I saw when I was looking at an used set was that they were still kinda wobbly. The seller admitted that they held but it did move abit. I opted for the spare tire Mopar ones... easier to put on and take off WITHOUT SCRATCHING UP YOUR ROOFTOP which may rust easier too. |

My roof's already scraped all to bejeezus and back from trees and such, so that's not really a concern. |

Hehehe. When I first heard Just Empty Every Pocket, I thought: OK, they mean spend a lot of money and then go riding. |

I use Rocky Mounts, mounted to Thule cross rails. They work great.
