Get your rotors from NAPA. Save you money and just get solid (vented front) rotors. There's not really any need for the drilled or sloted rotors except for bling. Pick up what ever pads you want. You can either go stock or ceramic.. EBC green stuff pads are nice as well. And remember break - to break a stick brake - to slow down by applying the brake pedal. not picking. Just pointing out. |

I just put Power Slot rotors on & ceramic pads..per recommendations from here & they work great I had just replaced a second set of SOLID rortors after 8 months due to those getting warped which made me go to these |

Slotted rotors do help, and the PowerSlots are a much better grade rotors that will take way more abuse then the stock or aftermarket non-slotted rotors can.Warped my OEM rotors before 27,000miles,hade my powerslots on ever since(63,000miles now) and have not warped at all,no rust either and I'm trying to stop 5500lbs.I also run Napa Ceramic pads/shoes,the OEM pads are ceramics but a lower grade ceramic. The EBC pads are good, the Hawk pads are just plain junk.

I warped my front rotors after 12k miles. Got them resurfaced and now tow with them, been fine for over 20k miles. Napa pads and rotors are the best bang for the buck. Ive never read anything bad about them. |

Maybe for an overloaded vehicle there is a benefit to the cooling vanes. The stock brakes work fine on a stock vehicle and napa offers the best quality replacement parts for a decent price. |

Yep I may upgrade some day to the slotted but with 102,000 on the stockers it maybe a while before I can do it! And yes I pull a trailer a lot with mine and only when I have about 4000 lb of firewood on do I wish the KJ and the trailer had better brakes |

Hawks aren't JUNK, they're just noisy. Next person to tell me "You might want to get your brakes checked out!" is gonna get punched in the nose But, having previous experiance on other cars, I'd recommend the EBC greenstuff pads, too. Friend of mine has me talked into Porterfields when I finally get around to doing rear disks. |

Two Guys Garage on the Speed Channel , did a demontration with these brakes locked in a vice and heated really hot with a torch and smaking them with a BFH other brakes came apart with this demonstration but not the Satisfied Brakes: http://www.satisfiedbrakes.com/brakes/index.html after shopping around Autozone, NAPA, Advanced Auto parts, Cecker Auto Parts, and even Pep-Boys all offer these pads as their higher quality pads. These may be the pads everyone is talking about. You may also check Speed Channel Two Guys Garage on line to read about it. http://www.twoguysgarage.com/sponsors/ |
