With the installation of my lift I have decided to remove the rear sway bar to get the most articulation there. Has anyone done this and how do you like it? Can the front be removed as well or will that make for too much body roll in the corners? Does anyone make sway bar disconnects for our KJ's? That might be the best of both worlds

rear yes you can remove it , does not do too much front DO NOT remove unless you like to roll over,,,,,,,,,,,,, sway bar disconnects from Jeepin By Als , some say you gain a lot some say not too much lot different than disconnecting them on a SFA |

I second that. Although some people run them, I don't think front sway bar disconnects are worth the trouble. You gain articulation and are able to stuff the front tires on one side while keeping the other side fully extended going over obstacles but the cost is ground clearance, a precious commodity with the KJ. You'll be banging the front skid a lot more. Leaving the front sway bar on lets the front suspension work as a unit and keeps maximum ground clearance between the front tires. |

I had the rear off, now on didn't see a difference, I have the front disconnects and on the first trail ride they seemed to help, got them from JBA, pretty easy to take off and on and I didn't have to secure the sway bar like you do on a wrangler. |

I've had my rear sway bar off since last Sumer. Helps greatly with rear articulation, haven't noticed any difference on the road. As for the front, I haven't bothered, I think I've heard/read that disco's gain less than an inch with our IFS. |

After input I have removed the rear sway bar and I will leave the front alone, bone stock. Of course that may be the only thing left stock at some point

i took my rear off and it seems to help somewhat with rear articulation, smoother maybe, im not sure. but if you shake the wheel slightly from right to left vice versa, while driving, thats where you will see/feel the difference of having the rear swaybar on or off |

I read somewhere that, for an IFS, keeping the front sway bar connected provides some added protection against over-bending your CV joints to where they bind or, even worse, separate. This would be especially true for lifted rigs. Makes sense to me. -SR- |

yup, what TjKj said it seems like a daunting thing but really , it's THAT simple 
the more level the surface you remove it on, the less bind it will be in and easier to remove |
