Sup dudes, I was lookin to paint the rivets on the Renegades fenders to black. I started the job with a touch up pen, but quickly realized it was just going to be a pain the booty hunched over (need a lift!) painting the rivets. ![]() ![]() I noticed that some of the rivets jiggle around in the flare, and I'd assume they were put in after the flares are painted as it'd def be easier for the company. Anyhow, If I pop off the flares, can I remove the rivets so that I can just blast them with some paint? If so, whats the easiest way to get them (flares) off... I hate when I'm pryin on stuff and you think its just gonna snap. ![]() Thanks guys Jordan |

i think they are just for decoration and serve no other purpose, so if you find a way to remove them (the bolts not flairs), they may not be able to be re-attached....you might see if they sell them as Mopar parts and start with a fresh batch....I dont know for certain, but I do know they are cosmetic only and are not real bolts holding anything on. As far as the flairs, you will have to have all those new rivets handy that hold them on from below. the only way is to cut off the existing rivets like the dealership does when doing repairs. when they put your flairs back on, they start with alll brand new plastic rivets. they are a one time use item. cheap to replace, but cannot be reused over and over. |

darn, I'm glad I asked, I was about to pop off some of the plastic rivets and that would have been a def. pain in the booty. |
