There is a thread like this on another Jeep site and thought it would be interesting to start here since we all fiddle with our KJ's....

Today I installed a clevis lift, new plugs and rotated tires.

Picked up my 4.10 gears for the rear axle today. I also got the install kit because Troy says it's the right thing to do. :D

Changed the front diff fluid, then took it to Walmart to get the oil changed. (The oil filter was on so tight, I tried 3 different filter wrenches, used all 7 words not allowed on TV, and still couldn't get the blasted thing off).

On a side note, the mgr. at Walmart said his mechanics commented the filter was on there a 'little' tighter than usual. I had them do the 'economy' oil lube and filter change, and I've got some Amsoil to replace the cheapo stuff with. I'll drive with the dino oil for about 2 weeks, then change it out myself, to the good stuff. Kind of figured it would be a 'gentle' engine flush.

Oh, and the manager looked at me like I'd grown a 2nd head, when I asked for the economy job. He said, "But you've used Mobil 1 for the past 63,000 miles! It will hurt your engine, changing to regular oil"!

I just rolled my eyes, looked at him, mentioned how I'm LAID OFF! and told him, "Do it".
Like I said, I'm changing to Amsoil in a couple of weeks. If changing from synthetic to regular oil REALLY damaged an engine, there would be a rider for it in the warranty.

Picked up my BDS lift kit. Then found out the sensored word said the bump stops were not in when I got there. Thanks for making me drive across town for no reason. I could have waited! :x

Drove it to work, got an Egg McMuffin, farted in it 5 minutes later, parked it outside for 11 hours, and got in it and drove home. Spilled some orange Powerade on the passenger seat.

This thing is so gross.

Nothing actually. It is parked in the garage sleeping because I am driving the car around since it gets much better gas mileage.

But, the KJ is going for a cruise tomorrow and also stretch it's legs in 4x4 mode... :D

I installed a mesh cargo net inside the Surco basket
wanted something to hold gear but not cause as much wind drag as the other options like the bags and boxes
looks kinda cool

Wife said lets go somewhere.... so we headed to Put In Bay, Ohios answer to Key West, the Liberty liked it until I told it we had to leave her on shore sitting and watching us take the boat over.

When we came back the Liberty had friends close by , 2 Rubicons and a LJ, and two guys laying under the front bumper trying to see how I lifted it!
