The ARB for the 05 - up is 95 lbs, but I don't know what the dimensional weight for shipping purposes is.

if you need to know the measurements let me know and I will measure mine, shipping no doubt would be in the 95 range

For my 02, the bumper is about 85 pounds. There's probably about 5 pounds of hardware too. For what it's worth, the All-J Products website says this.

Quote:
BUMPERS are approx. 80lbs each. Freight weight is 150lbs.

This is a rock lizard question, but maybe Troy will chime in, I wonder if the front RL bumper will be lighter than the ARB. Weight is my biggest concern by the time you add a winch and such. I want to go as light as I can.

UPS can handle the weight , the shipper will need to measure the box.

ya it should be, depending on how much metal they have, mine which i made with the least amount of un-needed metal as possible only wieghs 48# and i can add a winch, and its 90% 1/4" C-Channel

I also like the fact that the RL front bumper will have the option for a removable winch. I'm all about keeping it light. The RL rear bumper is very nice, but that thing is freakin' heavy.

That's one of the main things that I like about it too. I only wheel a couple times a month max. It doesn't make sense for me to drive around the city with a winch up front (it may come in handy if I need a parking space though  ).

what about the winch adapter that slides in the reciever of the hitch. for most people that have hidden hitches in the front and reg rear hitch i would have figured this would have been the way to go. move it from the front to the rear. blah blah. i havent seen much of them on here. is it a concern about strength. idk im just yappin

The main problem with the F/R revievers is that you may be in a spot where you can not put that winch/cradle in that reciever from how you are sitting, then what good is a winch if you can't mount it?
Plus using the reciever and cradle you really do not want to do a side pull and your severly limiting how much you can pull, you are limited at the max weight the reciever can handle which is 5000lbs for the front and a max of 7500lbs for the rear. When stuck it make your KJ feel like it weighs much, much more.

The idea behind the RL convertable winch bumber is that the winch plate will drop into the top of the bumber with two 2" revievers, doubling the strength and you will not loose any clearance and you will be placing the majority of the stress on the 2" reciver tube rather a 5/8" pin.
