Get used to it, regulator went on ya. It'll probably happen after every wheeling trip. |

It's so much fun! I just had my (2007 KJ) back window replaced on Monday. I think I may have used that back window maybe once in the year I've owned it. And I have around 9,000 miles on it. So just think what we get to look forward to. |

Seriously that sucks, if I remember the problem is only with the 2005+ Yep, I'm sure Chrysler had this brilliant idea to save money. And every penny saved has probably already been spend in warranty repairs. |

I know that there have been isues prior to '06's with the regulators breaking. However, it seems much more common on the newer KJ's. They did switch the regulator assembly to a new (less improved) style in may of 2006. That may be the source or the issue. I know that the part #'s are different, but the older ones may bolt into the 06+. without looking at the two of them side to side I don't know what was changed exactly. |

I just sent an e-mail to a lawyer I found on the internet about these windows that break over and over and over. Chrysler should be paying for these repairs, not us. It's not right. I've heard of people having to pay for 6 or 7 repairs on these things. I doubt if anything can be done, but I thought I'd give it a try. |

Good luck,it will never happen and no recall will ever be issued either since a window regulator is in no way a safety item,it's just a luxury item. When I was in the Army and deployed operators kept harping on us mechanics since the manual window regulators on the LMTV and FMTV 5-tons went out alot, litterly everyone of our trucks had at least one broken one.I couldn't care less about a window, they kept asking when my window regulator would be fixed and I would always respond when do you ever plan on checking your oil? Then maybe there engine would stop knocking so bad, stupid operators. |
