I just installed a draw-tie front hitch today and it uses 3 bolts per side. The hardware that came with it included 6 carriage bolts with 1/4 plates with square holes that keeps the carriage bolt from rotating in the frame rail as well as distribute the load. Makes for an easy install.

Yep, decade-old thread necrobump!

Does anyone happen to know the model of Draw-Tite hitch referenced above? I'm leaning towards doing a front hitch rather than tow hooks for a number of reasons, but one of my big reservations about the Curt TJ/YJ hitch is that it doesn't include reinforcing bars to go inside the frame rails. The Draw-Tite sounds much more like what I'm looking for in terms of an out-of-the-box solution.
