Hey guys looking for some tail light guards, I want to go for the blacked outt look. I know tans2002limited posted some that I really liked and the only part of the tailight you could see are the hald ovals. I've seen the mopar ones, there are my back up incase I can't find the others. Help me out! |

A lot of $$$ for something that won't protect the lights. Sort of like the plastic Mopar ones. But they do look good. Terry |

Terry K...let's see here. On one hand you have a plastic stick-on taillight "guard" that won't really protect the light, because if you hit something, it will flex and the taillight will break anyway. On the other hand, you have a STEEL CAGE BOLTED TO SHEETMETAL that if you hit something hard enough to break the taillight, it will bend the sheetmetal instead. But, your taillight doesn't get busted. Sounds like a win-win situation to me! |

the way that thing is "bolted" or should I say Torx screwed in 2 placed and bracketed under 1 of the posts that pop into the Jeep body I am pretty sure the light's going to be in pieces if I ever hit or snag anything with it! There will be a loud,cracking/crunching sound followed by the pitter patter of plastic pieces falling to the ground! |

If one likes the look, that's cool, but from a protection standpoint, I really don't see the benefit to installing these things. |
