How difficult is this if I don't have jack stands or ramps? I need to change all three and the Jiffy Lube if I recall wants close to $60 for that (for synthetic.) It seems pretty simple but I want to make sure I'll have enough room to work. Also, does anyone know size the bolts are? |

Bottle pumps are very helpful. Make sure the t-case gets ATF+4 and your axles should have 75w90 or 75w140 based on your driving conditions. |

Depends on how big you are. The tcase and front diff wont be a problem at all but it makes it easier if you jack the jeep up by the frame and let the rear axle droop so you can get to the cover better. Should be able to do it without doing that though. |

I'm in NYC. and I head north to go snowboarding so I can be in temps from 100+ down to below 0. Mostly it's 20 on the low end and upper 90's on the high end. Driving can be stop and go city traffic to highway. I usually don't drive faster than 75 and I'll off-road as much as I can. Sadly that's only a few times a year other than beach driving which I do fairly frequently in deep granular sandy conditions. So what should I use assuming you can get both in synthetic? Oh, and how much do I need (don't have the manual with me) |

 What? Doesn't everyone here have a lift in their garage? I thought that was a prerequisite to joining LOST?!
And speaking of LOST, I went with the tip from a certain Amsoil dealer here on LOST and used 75w110 both front & rear. Although I ended up buying from a local distributor near me, next time I am dealing with said Amsoil dealer here at LOST. |
