So here I am driving on the highway from one office to another when I feel a...tugging on the jeep. It is as if the transmission is slipping and nearly dropping down a gear but doesn't all the way. It is not hard or loud but you can still tell there is something there. Perhaps I should say instead of a tugging it feels like a fraction of a second it looses power.

My first thought is dirty transmission filter. I am due for a change in fluids and was going to do it in 2 weeks. Then I thought...perhaps fuel filter...or fuel pump maybe...this last one I would think would be much more noticeable and it would either work or not. What do you think it might be? Anyone else have similar issues? I really do not want to take it to a dealership...but my wife is telling me to get it "professionally" looked at :)

*Added*
I should also mention that when this happened the RPM gauge did not change, it stayed where it was before and after the hickup.

As I have been sitting here thinking about this I remembered that over the past...month maybe when I start my KJ or when I go from Reverse to Drive it sometimes hesitates.

I called the dealership and they want $100 just to look at it, lol. One person said it was the tranny and that I would most likely need a new one and the other said they were not sure but for the diagnostic they would be able to find out. I swear if it is not one thing it is another.
