I need to know who paid for a bumper from Jason Haslam, and if you received it or not. If you don't feel comfomfortable posting the info on here please PM me or e-mail me.

Some time soon I would like to do something about this ........person. Not sure which way I'm going to go yet. Maybe the state attorney general, maybe a lawyer or maybe a trash job in his locale paper. Either way I am going to get some of his hide.

He is into me for $875.00! Two delivery dates have past. His web site phone number is no good. He has not answered numerous e-mails. I want to get him legally.

How did you pay? If you used paypal or a credit card you can dispute the charges.

Sorry dude. I am sure that the other members of the community who endorsed him feel embarrassed. State Att will not do anything about it, if you paid cash (stop this), your best course will be small claims court.

You can hire a lawyer, but that will cost you and the dude probably has no money (so you will loose in the end).

Dirt bags really piss me off, especially when they prey on good people.

A very respected member on here (and a great guy) who endorsed Sundance and has his bumper (and lives in SLC) may still be in contact with him and might be able to appeal to Jersey Jim Haslam for you or at least let you know what he's up to. I recommend sending him a PM.

I Really feel for ya Full.I called him about a 2 months ago inquiring about the possibility of a winch mount on the bumper,
and what the wait was on the bumper and was told about 2 or three months.
FEBRUARY IS A LOT LONGER THAN TWO OR THREE MONTHS!!!!
If I weren't on this forum, and didn't see the "ordered in Feburary" in yer mods, than I might have been taken.
Wonder how much cash this guy has collected without producing the goods.
He should have told me that he can't handle the orders that he allready has,not be willing to take another order!
You should at least get yer money back with some interest. It's a shame because they truely are the nicest looking bumpers offered. If they are not copywrited, you should get with a local fabricator and start selling them yerself.
You oughta put Judge Judy on that azz.

I PAID IN JAN.,THE CHECK WAS CASHED. A LITTLE WHILE AFTER HE WROTE THE POST ABOUT ALL OF HIS PROBLEMS IE-MAILED ABOUT THE PROGRESS. MAY 7 I RECEIVED A REPLY THAT THAT PLATES WERE CUT AND JUST NEEDED TO BE WELDED. HAVE NOT HEARD FROM HIM SINCE. I ALSO HAD A FRIEND CONTACT HIS WEB SITE AND PRETEND TO BE INTERESTED IN A BUMPER FOR THE SAME YEAR AND DESIGN (NO STINGER). HE RECEIVED A REPLY THE NEXT MORNING THAT THE PRICE WAS 950 WITH A 2 MONTH WAITING PERIOD. HE DID TELL MY FRIEND THAT HE WAS BEHIND IN HIS ORDERS. I'M SURE OUR MONEY HAS ALREADY BEEN SPENT AND NOW IT FEELS TO HIM LIKE HE WAS MAKING THEM FOR FREE AND HAS NO INTENTIONS TO MAKE ANY. I DO NOT BELIEVE HIS WORD IS WORTH A PINCH OF $%^T.

I did a stupid thing and sent him a money order because he had been on LOST for a long time. An active member at that. So, I trusted him. I agree that he made a fantastic bumper and he had/has plans for other things also. But, it too late now. Good guy or not he don't know squat about business and he put his company down the drain.

I don't want to trash is name and have his family suffer because of what he did. But, I also can't let him get away with my money ( and everyone else). I still have all his e-mails with his word that my bumper would be delivered on a certain date. Then a second delivery date. All his apologies. I have the postal money order copy also. In other words I have a string of evidence.

The big thing I'm worried about is a black spot on the LOST name. LOST didn't do anything wrong but the name would be drug into this.

That M.O. wasn't a US Post office M.O. was it? You might check (even if it wasn't) with the post office about what they can do since you sent money through the mail if it's a federal crime and if so, what can they do to help. There is also the Internet Crime Complaint Center http://www.ic3.gov/complaint/ that is tied in with the FBI to help stop internet scams. The more info you have, the better they can help. The more that file, the better chance you all have of getting them to help.

Good luck all.

Folks, I understand the frustration of not receiving goods paid for in good faith and it seems that we have had a rash of this on the site lately but as stated in another thread Caveat Emptor (let the buyer beware).

Please try to keep this thread civil and informative or it will get locked.

As of August 30th Jason told me that his Dad was in the hospital having several surgeries due to a bad horse accident. He also shared other things that I will keep between him and I. I’m not trying to make excuses for him, I’m just saying that getting angry at him will not make things any better. Terry has every right to be frustrated, and so do others who have been waiting and have had no response from Jason. Just with my discussions with Jason, I’m very confident that everyone will end up with their bumper sooner or later.

To tell you the truth if he said the sun would come up in the morning I wouldn't believe it. It's been one excuse after the other. The amount of time that has elapsed isn't the problem. The problem is he doesn't keep his word. He said he would do better at keeping in contact with his customers. That is another time that he hasn't kept his word.

He has a great product. He told me that he had ideas on some other stuff also. But, he doesn't know how to separate his personal life and his business life. Because of this I think he has ruined any chance his business might have had. If you have contact with him please tell him to do SOMETHING. I really don't want to cause him and his family the type of legal problems he is headed for.

The mention above was enough. You don't have to say the words for some to read between the lines and find them even if it wasn't your intention. LOST has nothing to do with sales of product on this forum and it is my job to make sure that is mentioned in threads of this nature regardless of whether or not someone points the finger at us as responsible in some way.

Don't be hard on the Staff, he is just insuring that in no way, shape, form, or misconception that LOST takes any blame or responsibility for products sold on this forum. Personally I would be mad too, if I paid for something I hadn't got when it was promised or even updates on it. I really hope that the guy is working on your bumpers and that those that have paid get what they paid for.

I've seen this exact same situation on another message board relating to custom musical instruments(mandolins to be exact). The current way of doing business is to just require a deposit to hold your place in line. usually just $100 or so. When it is your turn to get into the building process another deposit, usually bringing the total up to 50% is required. You are never required to pay all up front on a custom build, only when it is finished and before it is shipped is final payment required. Now granted some of these mandolin builders have a wait list of over a year but still anything custom built and that makes you wait for it should probably follow similar rules of engagement.

my 2 cents.
