Only took 6 months. Time to start pricing out a sfa if I can't find a cheap junkyard one that's ready to swap in.

Pulled the front shaft and pinion. Was able to drive 25 miles home from the trails. Image

I was going up a steep incline. Just to the right of where this pic was taken. There was a small dip under the front driver side tire. Front bounced ever so slightly and boom. I'm running 32s and 3.73s I almost feel if I had 4.10s it wouldn't have cracked because it looks like the pinion tried to walk away from the ring gear. Image

No only a DTT or locker in that diff will make it survive.

My KJ when it was still IFS was tipping the scales at 5500lbs and with a DTT in the front diff I never broke a D30A and my time offroad was more on 3 wheels then 4.

I've been more temped towards the DTT than a locker, but I keep reading of others trying the DTT and going the other way.

Does anyone out there have a used DTT for Dana 30A that they no longer want/need?

Let me know what you want for it.

Guy with 4.10s flaked last minute. Picked up dif for $150 with 98k miles on it from the same guy I bought my rear from. Luckily have access to a lift whenever now. Image
