Anybody got a How to or a quick guide to changing this sucker out, i have 140,000 miles on my V6 and its starting to use a bit of Oil, i am just starting with the aesier stuff before i think about valve stem seals and the like |

they are brittle (don't ask) so be careful...or not , as you are just going to replace it anyway! |

What are the symptoms of a faulty PCV valve? Idle erratic? I think i tried changing mine a year or so ago but decided against it when it wouldnt come out of the housing. I was afraid of fracturing it... |

I just replaced mine this last weekend. First remove the hose then push down slightly on the pcv valve and turn counter clockwise 90 degrees then pull it straight upward to remove it. |

I'm just checking here, but is our PCV the one that comes off of the oil filler spout? I just changed the oil and was about a quart low, so I'm thinking I'm starting to use oil. I've heard this is a symptom of a bad PCV. Any validity in this? Thanks! |
