so, as many of you know i was currently in a roll over accident(see pics of rig sec.) thankfully everyone was alright and there was only a dent on the door. we took it to the shop today just to make sure that it was alright and it turns out no. my transmission is all screwed up and if it needs to be replaced, my parents arent paying for it.I would but i dont have a job to so this may be the end of my kj days.... not a good day at all. ill get back with more details later tonight

What no insurance?

If you do have insurance take it up with them, it should be covered.

Take it from someone who just spent $110 to repair what a shop said was a $2700 rebuild, fix it yourself. You might be without transportation for a couple weeks, but it beats being without your Jeep.

What year / engine do you have? Is it setting a code? What's your zip? Maybe a used trans can be sourced for you to swap in.

FYI - high school auto shops can occasionally do good work - it might be worth asking if they can do a project.
(this is much better if you have a buddy in the class who can keep an eye on things)

Well it really depends on how fast and such that layover was, they can blow a tranny real easy.

Not saying it is blown but I would not rule it out.Remember that when layed over it probally was still running and in gear, that would mean that the fliud shifted to one side and the pump started sucking air and not ATF which can destroy a tranny, same goes for the engine.

great news actuallyy. :D Well the transmission had to be rebuilt because of some cracked parts but it wasnt to bad to rebuild it (1500) considering that the stealership would of cost way more :D :D so, the engine is good and the only problems now are 2 dents. my passanger door in the front is a little off and lets wind through and 1 speaker and amp are blown. but besides that its all good and im superrrr happyy!!!!
