I was thinking about having this made it's sorta an incorperation of all the ideas done by members of this board. The part the is diamond plate in the center would be rounded just like the OEM bumper. Then the diamond plate that goes under the turn signals would sort of be a trim so its not just bare cut plastic. All the purple would be cut away. There would be holes for toe hooks in the oem position, that is how the bumper would bolt up is to the hitch mounts/toe hook mounts. I would also have the hitch bolted up to the frame and welded to the bumper. Somethings may work some may not I just though of it. ![]() EDIT: Would help if I posted the pic. |

Nice idea. what kind of diamond plate? Steel or aluminum? You would probably need 1/4 inch thick steel for a bumper. I'll talk it over with my machinist/fabrocator and see what we can come up with. |

Hey! I am working on the rear with a swing away spare mount right now, Mike when you come over I may have it 50-60 complete. The front you just described I have been planning for a while. I should put this stuff down on paper. I did see the Fabtech front bumper for a TJ that I really liked, and it maybe adaptable to the KJ. Al |

do the diamond plate center section, then cap the end with a strip of steel.then you could put hoops made of tubing to hold turn signals and possibly fog lights and still have clearance to like a cut fender/front bumper section |

I like it. Keep us posted on progress, you too Al. I'd love to take a trip over the bridge and check it out in person! |

Why not make it look more like the Renny bumper, except with REAL metal in the lower center section. It would give it a more aggressive, but factory look. |

It will be shaped just like it, except the fog light area would be cut out. |
