I took a used 245/75/16 load range E BFG AT off of a 2500 to mount on my spare. Is that to much weight on the door? I haven't noticed anything yet but i have seen ppl talking about the rear door sagging.

I run a 31x10.5x15 MT with a steel wheel and a hi lift jack on my rear door, so I don't see why you couldn't do a 245/75/16. I only keep the hi lift on there when wheeling and never leave the door hanging open. I get what I need and shut it. I have zero sagging issues.

I am guessing you are referring to me I do have a little bit of sag but not enough to worry about. I think the most annoying thing is the rattling noise when I drive down a slightly bumpy road. I have a little paint rubbed off too but it is about the size of a pencil eraser head. No biggie. I think the big reason for my sagging is do to letting the door get away from either myself or my wife when opening it when off roading. You should be fine

Nice to be reassured about this because I’ll be mounting some 245/75/16 MTSs on my Moabs in spring and of course putting the spare on the gate. But the “so far” kinda makes me think about it
I hope theirs never an issue with putting MTRs on the gate.

I have 245/75R16 BFG AT KO "E" Load range tires all around and a new fifth one for the apre. No problems with sagging, and the lift glass clears by like 1/8" to 1/4". So no worries. Just don't abuse the door when it's open.
