Check the back of your owners manual. At 5k you should: oil/filter change (if you didn't earlier) rotate tires/check pressure |

hi posted a few time on full consumption, i checked the air cleaner which was to say the least dirty, after changing it my consumption has jumped, now around 30 to 32mpg on a highway at around 70mph. this is just after i have had a free service on it by the main jeep dealer, after challenging , they said that at 5500k the air cleaner is not checked. The jeep is 14 months old, i would have thought that the year service over rid the 5500 service. does any one know of a site that list what the servicing schedules are on a 2007 liberty. phil |

Here you go: http://www.jeep.com/en/owners/manuals/index.html. It looks like service intervals are based on mileage and not time. But I could be off the mark on that. |

That's 5 million miles! You must be an animal on the roads. 5000k = 5 mil 500k = 500,000 50k = 50,000 5k = 5,000 |

5000k = 5 mil 500k = 500,000 50k = 50,000 5k = 5,000 Since he is from the UK he could be talking kilometers. But that would only be like 3400 miles. I dunno. . . |

Yes he's talking about km of course. k is often used as an abbreviation for km. The UK as well as Canada uses metric. The US for some silly reason is still SI. |

| Post subject: | Air filter replacement should be included! |
If your using standard air filters on a crd you should change it at every oil change. It's sized for a gas engine, not a air gulping diesel! Amsoil makes a filter with more area that's cleanable. Next time you buy an air filter compare the number of pleats in the different brands. Some have two or three more pleats that is a sizable jump in filtration area. The DC one does not have the extre pleats. As I recall one that does is the WIX/NAPA brands. |
