| Post subject: | Adding 2in Spacer to 2.5in Rusty's Lift? |
Hey all I noticed that almost everybody's Liberty on here looks like the front sits higher than mine. Its a 2004 Sport with a Rusty's 2.5in Lift. The front seems to sit lower than most liberty's on here and just barely higher than stock libertys. Can I just add a 2in Spacer on top of the 2.5in Lift and re-align it and call it a day? Or should I just get the springs and struts from a different lift and see how that looks? Thanks, Ryan |

Your Rusty springs are sagging, because it has the same spring rate as stock (310lbs), better off getting OME Heavy Duty springs (400lbs). |

well it is an 04 and you know that it is lowered after the year 02 due to high center hieght. but yeah i does sound like your springs are sagging. how long have they been on, or are you using the stockers and the spacer? i have the rusty's with a clevis lift and here is what you get--- with the 31's
with stockers and a 245 in front
and rear
yeah, mines an 02 |

measure from the center of the hub to the bottom af the flare and let us know what that is. If you have had the Rustys on for some time they may be sagging for sure. Did you do a clevis when you put the springs in, that maybe a difference as well. I would not go stacking say an OTT on a set of aftermarket springs, more trouble than what you want to deal with, already SEVERAL discussions on this already on here |

Thanks for the replies. The lift was done at 12,000 miles in August of 2005, a year after we bought it. 50,000 miles now. We didn't do the clevis lift with the install, just the Rusty's lift. From the center of the hubcap to the bottom of the flare is 21 inches exactly. No spacers right now, just Rusty's lift. So should I get the OME Heavy Duty springs in the front as well as the shocks and see where that puts it at? Thanks again guys! Ryan |

I would replace them with OME HD, it is a much better quaility coil and I would get Rancho Struts RSX17505, and then also do a 3 ring clevis |

clevis is easy to do , loosen the clevis bolt use a pry bar to move the strut assembly up some and retighten to 90/100 lbs do the same each side yes anytime you change anything in the front end get it realigned |
