Seems like they the politicians are forcing another useless regulation. I recently bought a little 2.5 gal CARB compliant gas can and I have to work at not spilling fuel when I fill the mower or snow blower. My 15 year old metal can with a vent plug is easier to use. The issue is that CARB rules eliminate the vent hole and require all nozzles to be self venting. The only part of the CARB rules that makes sense to me is the low permeability plastic required in production of fuel cans. I can't see that this change is going to help the environment in anyway. People that are careless will still overfill and spill fuel, people who are careful wont.
Anyway, I just ordered a couple of Scepter Military Fuel Can's (MFC). Very tough to find now. They can't ship to CARB states, and as of Jan 1st, every state is a CARB state.
