So its getting really rainy out here in Oregon again, and well just this week my blades have gone to just crap...its been about a year now. So, not sure how quality varies among blade types, but I do see many manufactures out there with regular blades and winter blades. Winter blades do sound good considering that I plan to get into some snow this season. Any difference and are these better then then what mopar sells? Btw..how much do mopar blades cost? |

I've always had good luck with Bosch. They seemed to last forever. I've used them in Hawaii, California and Florida. However, since settling in Mich. I run those winter blades year round. They last about a year anyway. The rear of the KJ is a different story. Just buy the cheap incerts and trim them down.. ![]() |

I like the Trico Teflon, there about $15 per blade at Advance Auto. |

Bosch has a new blade that JUST came out, called the ICON, it's supposed to be amazing (and it better be, at $16.99 each). In addition to superior wiping, it claims 20% longer life. I bought my Liberty used, and it had Rain-Ex blades on it. They were working good, but I switched to Bosch micro edge and they worked even better...for 4 months. Now they seem to streak alot, so I put the Rain-Ex ones back on. They have been on my Jeep for 8 months in my posession, and who knows how long before that. I think Wal-Mart (?) might sell them. I work at Autozone, and the consensus seems to be that most blades that offer superior wiping won't last as long because the softer rubber breaks down or hardens faster. |

I run bosches up front...in the rear, I run the mopar wiper, since A: I work at a stealership, and B: nobody makes a replacement. |

What size are the front blades, and are the refills narrow or standard width? Thanks! |

the front blades are 19 inch and the rear is 12 inch (I just bought new blades). I run Addco winter blades with the vinyl strip on top for winter. It keeps the ice off of the blade so it doesn't streak. They cost $5.98 at wal-mart. I just run a cheaper regular blade in the back. |

![]() Jeeplikens, when were you in Hawaii? I haven't replaced the blades on my KJ yet, but when I did on my focus out here I used rain-x and they worked good, although I didn't get to test them in the rainy season. Justin |
