Yeah - that subject line pretty much sums it up. I hit the brakes, and my left turn signal light turns on... (not blinking) Indicator in dash turns on too. Any ideas... {This is really starting the piss me off. I can't go a week without 'something' going haywire.} |

That's odd; my Dad's Chevy Venture Mini-Van does the same thing. Then again, that thing has more electrical problems than I care to think about. |

For a vehicle that I've only had for 8 months, and one with only 100,000 km on it - I can't say I'm too pleased. I've now done both U-Joints, discs, drums, calipers, a full exhaust system, F/R output seals on the tranny. I love my Jeep - and I hate my Jeep. Now - this. Anyone have any ideas as to how to find this fault? (Head swirling) |

Do you have a trailer tow plug? A short there or other wiring to the rear lights getting pinched ( maybe a recent bullb replacement?) and allowing them to contact each other is good place to start. |

Good idea... yes - I do have a trailer plug and it's been nasty lately. That is a possibility. Will check that 1st. Thanks. /Scratch |

Mine did almost the same thing, except the backup lights would come on dimly & the right signal would flash at a high rate. Since I just bought it, the dealer had to fix it. Turned out the passenger taillight housing was bad. They put in a new one, & its all good now. |
