| Post subject: | Liberty.... a womens vehicle?? |
I always considered a jeep liberty to a be a girls vehicle even when i had gotten one and every girl that i had talked to in which i had mentioned getting a jeep liberty they were all like, "They are very nice i want one". Most of the time when i see other liberty's there is always a women in the drivers seat. Although i do occasionally see guy as well, more girls than boys. Just the other day i saw a liberty in a food store parking lot that had a, i guess i would say stripes on both sides of the liberty that had hearts going from the front to the back. So are we really just a bunch of rough tough men driving a girle girl jeep liberty??? (lol) |

Take your Rav 4 /Honda/ Subaru and try and keep up with a Liberty! Where I live everyone drives one cause this is where they are built, but its an equal number of all ages and sex I think we need to ban this guy |

Don't let what others perceive the Liberty to be bother you. Modify your Liberty like everyone else on here and go out there and show everyone what this Jeep can really do. We may be the underdogs, but we can still go places a Wrangler or Cherokee can. |

Who compliments a stock vehicle (unless its a rare, expensive or classic vehicle). Would you go up to a stock Wrangler and say "Hey nice TJ or JK"?? You can just go to your local Jeep dealer and get one just like it. On the other hand if you see a modified Jeep (or other vehicle) you might be tempted to talk to the owner and turn your head while it drives by you. |

A girl in one of my college classes had parked across from me and when she saw me she had said "Is that your car?" i had said "yes" and then she said "Its very nice" so even though i knew who she was, she still had complemented me on my stock jeep and this girl is not like a good friend that i hang out with either. |

I could say more but I guess I am in DENIAL I agree though with jeepkj02 , no one says a word to anyone in a stock vehicle no matter what it is, put some wheels/tires and whatever else to make it your own then people talk to you more than you want them to girl in college said "I like your CAR????" and to think someone is paying good money to get her an education ....A CAR??????????????? |

Who cares what other people think about your choice for vehicle. If you like it than don't worry about everyone else's opinions. Long Live the Liberty! |

Here where I live girls are the main ones I see driving any Jeep. Be it a wrangler, GC, Liberty, etc. I hardly see any guys driving them unless they are lifted. Same goes for pickups and other SUV's. I figure it has something to do with all the snow we get around here. The guys I do see driving a stock KJ usually watch me go by and crank their heads around till they almost break! |

I fondly remember the 1st trail run I went on here in CO,after the trail run and filling up the tank at the gas station some guy came up to me and thanked me for making a KJ that looks "manly". I see just as many women driving TJ's,actually more then driving KJ's around here. There is a really hot woman that lives in the next building that drives a new KK,to bad she's married |

i, like everyone else, have been accused of driving a "girls" car. i normally say.. what are you driving? follow me for a while some have taken me up on the offer.. and either back out at the last min. or fail.. or have a whole new respect for it. we have 2 miles of pretty tough trials in our woods.. that's normally where i take them... but the fact is.. if a girl "car" can go where my libery does, or tow, carry, haul, run, drive, look, like my liberty does.. sure i'd drive it! |

mmmmm, maybe thats why i see a lot of women driving Kj's due to the snow... I live in the Pocono Mountains in PA so yes we do get good amounts of snow every once in awhile, never thought of it that way. |

I've got buddy tell me that its a womens vehicle all the time. It's kind of a thing we have going now. So I finally called him on it. told him lets goin for a ride. He took his wrangler, i took the liberty. He got stuck about 1/4 mile in and i draged him out. that stopped him from saying anything for a while. Now he has started saying it i told him when i get my SFA done when i get back from this next tour I'm going to drive over the top of his. He has so far to object............. so we shall see |

Are you men afraid of being thought of as having a weak manhood? Self worth fragile? Can't handle what others think? Are you afraid to admit it is your KJ when a group of burly 300lb Rednecks with beards and shotguns walk up and ask who's girly minivan is this? Then don't buy a KJ. As for complimenting a stock vehicle. Would anyone compliment your stock Ford Focus? Would that same Ford Focus get compliments if it was tossed onto a lifted TJ chassis and mod'd with 32"s? Most likely. |

Man, all I wanted was a small, nimble SUV that could pull 5000 pounds, had true 4x4, and plenty of power... I guess I should have added a box on my shopping list for the girly rating. [run's away crying] |

Gentlemen, the fact of the matter is when Jeep designed the Liberty, they intended it to appeal to women. Why would Jeep want to do this? The answer is simple; when Toyota introduced the Rav 4 it doubled the companies income. Jeep wanted a piece of the pie but did it in a very Jeep way. |
