If the dealer will buy back your car what will you get??? The MSRP, what you paid for it, or what the black book price is??? Thanks....

The buy-back is for your car loan payoff value. Nothing more, nothing less

Thanks... I also heard it is the MSRP, but I just wasn't sure.

I'm not sure I am yet. I'm just asking what is involved in a buyback $$-wise. Talked with Chrysler at length this morning and decided to file a buy back with them. Will know in 3-4 days what the outcome of it is. Have an '08 Liberty Limited that has had numerous problems, and been in and out the dealership too many times to count to date. Some things they have finally fixed, some things have broken again after fixing, and some issues are still pending. It's just been way too many things for a brand new car, and I can't keep spending everyother week at the dealership with it.

Shoot, that's what I was going for.

Really though, I would've just made an inquiry to Chrysler Corp, and asked them for a new 09 Liberty Limited.. to replace your lemon-law 08. But, if you got a bad taste in your mouth from it, then good luck with your next choice of vehicle .

I'm not so sure I want another Jeep :( :( I would be afraid of the '09 being no better then the '08. Think I'll go back to my Honda Pilot I was ready to buy in the first place.

That Honda Pilot is suppose to be a very good car from what i had read about it in the past

I was so attracted to the new Liberty looks, and I still love the way the rugged look to it. I think it looks way better than the Pilot. But it's come down to quality/reliability issues with me. I have spent so much time at the dealership with my Liberty.....I've grown tired with that part of it.
We'll see what Chrysler will come up with in a few days. I figure I will hear from them on Mon. or Tues. They said 3-4 business days and their legal department would get back with me.

If you go to jd power or someplace, and do the math on the problems per 1,000 cars, the difference between the two makes may not be as big as you think. Honda has a service dept. for a reason.

If what you want is a road wagon and never want to venture off-road, there are better choices all around than a jeep. I have yet to see a pilot off of a road, which is a good thing at it started life as a minivan.

What you get IF they buy back is going to depend on what is required by your state's laws, if they have them. Visiting your state's website might be worthwhile.

Wasn't your KK a promo vehicle used in commercials?I remember you saying it was used in some commercial,if so it's been used and abused plenty then and should have been crushed instead of sold.

I had the same thing happen to me with my 06 Liberty, I had to get a Lawyer to get Chrysler to buy back my Liberty. I was paid back all my money I had spent on down payments and car payments. Plus they had to pay my lawyer fees. It took me 11 long months to win my case...I did buy another Liberty..

Well, heard from Chrysler...they decided they would not allow a buy-back on my vehicle. So.....I'm not interested in pursuing this for umteem months on end. Will probably be looking into another vehicle at this point..trading in this one ( let someone deal with the problems), and going from there......
What are all of your thoughts on this....

I'm not a fan of the 2Ton bubble known as Chevy's crossover.

At this point, it's up to you as to what vehicle to get.

They did the same thing to me, that's why I got a lemon Lawyer. It cost me nothing to hire them. Keep all your receipts too. If you need their number let me know.

thats sucks Im sorry, but if I were you and I was going to trade it in I would more than likely just look for a different Jeep, I am a huge fan of te Grand Cherokees I think they look really nice and they have a V8 option and can tow, but the new 4 door Wrangler is nice too and look really nice with some mods like Daspes' JK, his is AWESOME looking!!!

ThunderbirdJunkie thinks that the Honda Pilot is a heap of crap.

Just TBJHO.

Seems like since '05 or so Honda can't make a wheel bearing or transmission to save their life.

However, if you want it, go buy one, and continue helping convert our dollars into yen
