Anyone got a good source to get these from that they would recommend? Anyone know if these parts are offered at NAPA, I tried typing in the Jeep P/N for the pieces but no results were showing up. Found Mopar Parts Direct and they have the bushings at $14/ea and the UBJ at $56.89 for the one. They also have the rear LCA bushins too at $24.38 and $22.88, seems there are two different sized bushings on the rear LCA???

I guess if anyone has replaced these how long would you say it took and were any "special" tools necessary to complete the job?

Thanks for any and all assistance!!

-Scott

It would be cheaper to buy the whole LCA's with the bushings already pressed in,will save time and money in the long run,yes I know it's for the rear. Also the tri-link ball joint is pressed in just like the front LBJ's and you need to remove the whole tri-link to do it.If you have the OEM exhaust that means it has to come off to get one bolt out.

how old are they mike? I just have this horrible popping or rattling noise coming from the rear, almost sounds like it is coming from the rear passenger side but I think it is the UCA ball joint, in which case I can get a brand new one on a new UCA with new bushings too for $157+ shipping. I'll have to get under it tomorrow and check it out and verify the condition for sure of all the bushings but there is something definitely making noise back there, shocks are tight too so they are not rattling loose or anything.

Dont need any special tools, just some sockets and wrenches. Need some big ones, I believe 21mm is the biggest, cant remember for sure though.

Taking the lower control arms off is very easy. Take two bolts for the sway bar then the two bolts out per arm and they are done.

For the upper, take the two bolts out of the frame rail and then you can either remove the three bolts(21mm i think) holding the bracket on for the ball joint or try to take the one bolt out that holds the ball joint in the diff. I took the whole axle out which made it easier to work with.

Slightly off topic. Does the rear stabilizer bar act to reduce sideways pressures on the front part of the lower control arms? (bushing/bolt assembly) Do those without rear stabilizers have any extra wear on these points?

In theory, Im sure it could slightly.. But probably not enough to be concerned about,
