Well I just got through fitting lamps and holders to the small amber light units in front of the front wheels on my 06 KJ. They are just amber reflectors and have no hole to fit a lamp into so,,, i got busy on ebay and today I saw the light. No point in any pics as my Jeep without them lit is probably more noteworthy LMAO I took a feed from what is our front running light, a 5W capless fitting inside the front headlamp unit.

I love the uniqueness it gives, added to the Trail Rated badge on the rear door above the "Jeep" badge on the left and my LOST sticker a good start

My Cherokee has a trail rated badge under the driver's side indicator repeater. Got it a couple of years ago when on holiday in Florida.

NO need for a trale rated batch, my BF Goodrich AT's and mud on the bonnet are enough to show the Defender guys up here that my KJ means bussiness.
Did an off- road track specially designed for Landrover the other day, no problem, pissed of the Landrover guys though. ha ha.

I'm looking for the front door mouldings for an 05 (possibly 06 will fit too) that says Cherokee instead of Liberty. If you guys have the same color moulding and want Liberty mouldings, I'll trade. If not, can someone across the pond see how much they are from a dealership and get a part number? I would really like to replace mine.

Being an Ex-landie owner I know the one that really ticks them off is a 4x4 that they can't loose offroad. The problem is most landies are driven by people who expect their rig to get them out of trouble instead of learning the skills to drive offroad.

Nate, sorry mate but I can't help you witha trade because my KJ is too old to have Cherokee in the door mouldings. If you want the part numbers I'd be happy to try and get for you though.

A Cherokee door strip would be kinda cool. I can't find a part number listed, but the customer service contact info for UK Jeep is:
Customer Services Department
DaimlerChrysler UK Limited
Tongwell
Milton Keynes
MK15 8BA

Telephone: 01908 301 090
Facsimile: 01908 301 203

...and the website is http://www.jeep.co.uk/jeep/index.aspx. However, in lieu of door strips, I'll take the manual transmission that you guys get as an option for the CRD. Anyone up for a tranny trade? I'll throw in my Trail Rated badge.

On the parts system the mouldings are listed twice in the same colour combinations. The ones marked 'export' are, I suspect the Cherokee ones, and the others Liberty. You need your trim code to get the right color moulding.

How do I get the trim code for the color?

The trim code should be on the build sheet, but if you give your Jeep dealer the VIN, he should be able to get it from that. If i'm correct, there are three different colors available, plus chrome for Limiteds. If you find the correct part number for the 'Liberty' molding you have now, which will start with 5JR8?????? and substitute it with 5JT0?????? this will give you the equivalent 'Cherokee' number.
