So I'm pulling up to my apt. to hang out for lunch and when I shut the engine off steam starts rising from my hood. Most of the coolant is on the ground, on the pulleys, everywhere underneath the hood!!! :x The bottom of the radiator is soaked but top is dry after all the steam cleared and on top of that I was stalling out on the short drive home. Got codes 0320 for the crankshaft pos. sensor and 1492 for battery/ambient temp voltage too high.

So while I'm on the phone with Radiator Barn, i'm online ordering a new crankshaft sensor and battery temp sensor. Would anybody know what else I might need to order at the moment? I'm at 97k on the odometer so I know all the 100k stuff is coming. But just to get the jeep running the way it was before today (smooth!!!) should there be anything else to put on the shopping list???

Might as well get new upper/lower radiator hoses and a new t-stat and don't forget to use only HOAT(GO5) coolant only.A new serp belt and tensioner might be a good idea also, always replace the tensioner with the serp belt.

Ohh man, ol jeep was mad at you for some reason!

Did the check engine light come on at some point for those sensors?

Guess I'm on the right track then, I already replaced both hoses, t-stat & gasket, pressure cap and coolant...i've known about the batt temp sensor for almost a week now i was just waiting for my tax return so i could buy a few things all at once. it just threw me the code TODAY for the crankshaft position sensor. like i said it just happened on my way home for lunch. this morning on the way to work she ran just fine with only the p1492 code recorded.
