| Post subject: | Broken Breather hose |
While removing the airbox, I broke the plastic breather hose (p/n 53013723ab). Any opinions on replacing the brittle plastic with a larger diameter rubber hose and fittings? I believe the part from the dealer is $22, but I could rig/rout rubber hose cheaper than that. |

The problem is the bend.As the pre-bent hose heats up nothing changes.A straight piece of hose will crimp from the heat and flow will suffer. |

If you're worried about the bend, go to Lowes and hit their fitting section i.e. where they have all the smaller rubber hoses, and get a 90* plastic bend with barbed ends. |
