Hey guys whats up? well we just had the cold front roll through colorado and its been in the negatives and high teens lately and ever since it dipped below 35 degrees my front end has been squeaking like crazy. It happens all the time and only when i go into large dips or over speed bumps square on. It happens at all speeds. Have any of you encountered this? im thinking its just a temperature related issue, but any input is appreciated thanks! |

I have the Rusty's lift also and since the temp dropped below 40, my rear end has started squeking going over every little bump in the road. Front end is fine so far though. Some people have suggested greasing the swaybar bushings for the front and the shock mount bushings for the rear. It may help a little but I would bet that it will clear itself up as soon as spring arrives.

I've noticed a "rubber bushing" type noise when it gets below 32 degrees and I am offroad. Like wet tires on steel plate. It goes away when it warms back up. It's either the bushings on the swaybar or maybe the bushings on the top of the strut making noise due to the increased lift. No problems otherwise, for two seasons in the snow. |

Exactly. Mine sounds like an active hotel room when I go over bumps. I just live with it because at least I finally have some ground clearance now. |

I noticed it about last week......I thought it was my front shocks due to the weight of ARB....it's a little scary because everytime i think the shocks might give up and my front would just drag all over the road |

it's been below zero here in montana the last week, and not only does it make a lot of noise when it is this cold, the ride is alot stiffer until it warms up also. the power steering pump makes alot of noise too when you first start it. |

It's your swaybar bushings. Lube em or just live with the sound. It happens to everyone eventually (regardless of lift). The bushings are actually rubber. Others have gone the poly route and sound is even worse. |

i got that sound before my lift. Took the sway bar bushings off and cleaned everything up really good, they had some sand in the bushings. I put some silicone grease on them and the sound is gone. Do not use regular grease!! |

my goodness...I'm not the only one!! I was thinking I broke something running over the speedbumps to fast in the past. Because as of recently the sounds have just been getting more noticable on the same bumps. My second suspicion was the temperature. I will have to figure out how to lube this thing up then. Now hopefully I don't have to stick my head out the window in aims of pinpointing this noise anymore. |

lol, thats funny. I pictured you driving around in a parking lot with your head out the window. It takes an 18mm socket to get the bolts off holding the bracket on. Theres 2 of them and are pretty tight. I torqued them back to 80ft lbs. |

Yup, I went to the dealer, and they replaced mine under warranty last week. |

Besides silicone grease, is there anything else i can use to get rid of the noise, WD40 maybe, i'd prefer not to rip apart the whole front end...thanks for your help. -Savage- |

My noise is worse. My jeep sounds like a POS rolling down the road. Here are my sounds.... Front end warm sometimes make a clunk sound in the front end and you can feel it in the floor boards, when ever you hit a sharp impact bump. cold it make the same sound/feel almost all the time if you saw the wheel back and forth. cut the wheel sharp to one side nothing then back to the other and clunk... only when moving, not if you turn the wheel while parked. also the front pass side coild creaks, at the bottom of the pack, I sprayed it with wd40 and it went away instantly, now it must have washed out and is back. Back end noises... constant metalic rattle sound in behind the drivers side, back seat. sounds almost like it is loose and falling out, but it is the top shock mount becasue it is right below the seat. 05, 9Kmi... sounds like I beat the hell out of it already! lol. |

There is really no way to grease the bushing good without taking them off. Your not taking the front end apart, just taking 4 bolts out. |

mine does it too,over the railroad tracks, a clunky squeek, just figured it was a cold "jeep thing" I also have a nice drivers side window rattle and a little somethin somethin happening somewhere in the back ... |

ok, well the swaybar bolts i could probably deal with, i'm guessing that you just have do disconnect it, clean out the bushings and reconnect. Any specific kind of grease, will WD40 do the job, do i need to jack up the front end of is it possible to do it with the truck on the ground. Thanks -Savage- |

Hi, Can I just take the 4 bolts off the sway bar bushings or do I have to "detension" the sway bar first by disconnecting it first? Thanks Bennett |
