I seem to have a leak and could use some help identifying it. its in the front drivers side, pretty much right under the axle. my first thought was the drivers side axle seal. its pretty much perfectly lined up with that. but, the liquid is pretty much clear and does not have an odor. so, not gear oil. it feels a little bit oily, but not much. what else is over there?

Powersteering Fluid is Kinda Watery/Oily and if its farely new it would be clear. A possible culprit.

Our jeeps do tend to drop puddles of water from either rain/moisture condensation or from the AC unit right behind the front axle and slightly towards the passenger side but occasionally it runs out the drivers side depending on the grade and level you're on, it usually has a slight oil film to it due to having ran off of something with road grime on it, sometimes has small black specs or black oily spots

I've actually had mine do it like it took a leak, pulled in my friends driveway, turned it off, yanked the e-brake, got out locked it and walked about 8 steps and it sounded like someone poured out a drink

Sound familiar?

Perhaps after it's been sitting awhile, turn off the AC stuff/Defrost and what not.

Pull it up to a clean spot and cycle the wheel back and forth to aggitate the power steering and see if it results in some dripage
