Is it worth the extra $25 for the Professional series pads over the Service grade? Rock Auto has them for $47 and $22, respectively. They're both ceramic so I'm not sure what so special about the Pro's. |

My brakes are good, but when I do eventually do a brake job. Probably going to do NAPA rotors and ceramic pads. Same for the rear, drums and shoes from NAPA. |

Add as much weight as us KK guys have, and you'll quickly realize just how unimpressive the oem brakes are. I'm always on the lookout for a great set of rotors and pads for this thing. |

I'm sitting at about 1400-1500lbs heavier then your KK,Powerslots with Napa ceramic pads work and since I have drums in the rear there is ceramic shoes back there also.Night and day difference from OEM.

When ThunderbirdJunkie sells NAPA Ceramics out of the stockroom at work, he always has a comeback for noise and winds up eating the cost on a set of P+ supplied Raybestos PG Ceramics. If you do not believe ThunderbirdJunkie that the Raybestos ProGrades are worth the money, go dump whatever money you like on junk and be happy with it. And Troy, not saying that the NAPA Ceramics are junk or anything...just that the shop has not had much luck with them. The only time ThunderbirdJunkie has ever been happy with a set is when he puts them on his own vehicles. Go figure. Or maybe some techs need to be fired for not properly bedding in pads |

Squeaky brakes does not mean anything, vibrations are normal and what causes most squeaks.Pads that are engineered to be quieter do not perform well enough for me.Mine don't squeak though. And yes you are right that if not done right they can squeak,I also do my own brakes.I also have never had a come back for squeaky brakes at work and we use real junk there since people do not want to pay for the good stuff.

Stupid question, but you can't turn those Powerslots can you? Got about 4mm left on these horrendous Hawks (thank GOD) and it's gonna be time for new Potors and Rads...considering going up to some Powerslots (no more Hawks...Hawks work great...but earned ThunderbirdJunkie the nickname "Squeaky" while descending a long hill in the middle of about 8 other Jeeps*) Don't know anything about EBC's rotors, but have had great luck with their GreenStuffs on past pavement-pounders. * Over the CB: What in TARNATION is that god-awful noise? I Dunno ThunderbirdJunkie: Don't hear nothin If your pansy booty would roll down your windows and turn off your AC you'd hear it! TBJ: Why would I do that? Then I'd hear my brakes somebody else: From now on, you are named "Squeaky" |

Sadly you can not turn the PowerSlots, and Yes hawk pads really suck.I've tried about every brake pad made(over the last 19 years),those hawks,EBC,duralast(aka "never last"),and wagner pads have been less then steller.Raybesto's,CarQuest,Napa, and Wilwood have been great.
