Steering Wheel Vibrating...

Recently i have been noticing whenever i brake when coming to a stop i can feel my steering wheel will start to vibrate. I have also noticed when coming to a stop that when i take my hands off the wheel you can see the steering wheel vibrating back and fourth, any ideas why this may happening?

Check rotors, they could be warped.

The same thing is happening to me, My rotors were warped and the dealership resurfaced them and they have warped again within 200 miles

Same problem here. Went to murray's yesterday and got new ceramic pads and rotors. Funny thing though, got the driver's side wheel up and off, pushed the caliper back, removed the pads carriage, and found out the BFH I had to hit and loosen the rotor wasn't a big enough one. Put it all together again, (only have one vehicle running presently), hoping I didn't screw up the rotor pounding on it, drove to Harbour freight and got a 3# sledge hammer, (better be big enough), torque wrench and a few other assorted goodies. Start from square 1 again either today or tomorrow.

Ya Ya mines been Vibrating for the last 20k miles, I ahve new pads when it needs it and everytime i change brakes I have the rotors resurfaced. I think its jsut weak as rotors that they put on the liberty, they go bad fast. I dont think overall it causes alot of harm so Ive ignored it. Now obviously I could be wrong about that, but what else could go wrong, Premature wear on the ball joints?

No reason to check the rotors..it's time for new ones. And pads.

Rotors and pads. Mine would shake violently and yesterday I swapped them out for a nice new shinny set. Stops like new now and no more vibration.

Cutting the rotors just makes it easier to warp the next time.Even if they remove only a few thousands that ends up being alot of metal taken off the rotor which equals less material to help dissipate the heat of braking.Plus if a rotor is warped having it cut will not take the warping out,the rotor is still warped and was just cut flat and when heat is applied to it again it will continue to warp but at a accelerated rate.

The KJ comes from the factory with ceramic pads and soft rotors which gives quieter braking over it's life span but also equals faster wear(depending of driving style) and more prone to warping.If you want rotors to last a rotor like PowerSlots is the way to go,even better if you get there cryo frozen rotors,but there is a trade off since they can not be cut.I have been running PowerSlot cryo front rotors and Napa Ceramic pads,after 40,000+ miles they still look brand new,both the pads and rotors and I am extremely hard on my brakes.

They're more than likely right about the rotors, but it also wouldn't hurt to have the wheels spun. I had a very slightly bent rim on my old Ford Ranger that that caused the steering wheel to shimmy during heavy breaking, the rim also made it pull during acceleration. I just rotated the tires to the back the steering shimmy went away I just got a got a slight vehicle vibration at 75+ speeds. Just to give you another idea off what everyone else in the crowd says.
