Post subject: | Replacing Jeep Liberty BCM |
I think the BCM on my Liberty went out a few days ago.... Wipers quit working... Speedometer quit working... Headlamps quit working... Dash lights quit working... Power Doorlocks quit working... ALL AT ONCE! I know where the BCM is (just left of the fuse panel, a small black rectangular box, right?) but I don't know how to get it out of there to replace it. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I'm from WA, so the Jeep is basically undriveable because the wipers don't work. (Rain). Guys over at JeepKJ.com couldn't really give me a good answer. I'm out of warrenty, so besides what I read on here, I'm on my own. Thanks, Alex |

im not sure i can help, but in the mean time, go to automotive section of any store (meijer, walmart, napa) and pick up some "Rain-X" its spray on stuff you put on your windsheield, I havent used my wipers except to clear snow from it and the occasional swipe to get the road grime off the window. the water just beads up and goes off from the wind while you drive. |

Is it possible that it's a fuse? Not that I expect a fuse to control that many things, but it's worth a check just to make sure. I had a car where I installed the stereo wrong, and it would short out all the interior lights. Aother car had the cigarette lighter and horn on the same fuse. Weird combinations, you never know. |
