Ok each of these coils are from a CRD model KJ. With about 4k on them. Does any one see a problem between the two? Hope the pictures help?

The one on the left looks like it might be for a CRD? From end to end one has 11 twists and the other only 10? The gauge of spring wire seems to be a little different too.

Spring on the right appears to have a thinner diameter steel.
If thats the case, then they will have different rates = Unmatched.
I wouldn't use them. Take them back for refund (If possible)

Yeah been a real hassle doing that though. Tried for a few weeks and no response from the seller. Would like to think there was a mix up? But no response makes me think different.  :x

How did my message with you quote end up before yours??? HUH?

The one on the right belongs on the passenger side of the KJ. The one on the left belongs on the driver side.

Sherlock Holmes out.

In all seriousness though

more space in coils=spring rate
more thickness in coils=spring rate

Just use them and be done w/it ITBJHO

Agree, put the one with the least twists on the pass. side. I bought a set from the dealer about 4 yrs. ago and they are left, right specific.
In fact, if you still have the green tags on your stock springs you'll see different numbers for each front spring.

Are gassers coils left & right specific, or is it only for CRDs?

I was thinking that also. If there is a lot more weight to one side......but that would make the vehicle very unbalanced.....though I am no car expert, I did sleep at a Holiday Inn once.

How do i find out for sure? Dealer? Seems like some say yes, and others say NO. Seems i may have pissed the seller off a little because of my actions over this. Just seems they would be the same regardless of side of vehicle. Guess i need facts here folks! Cause if they really are side specified. I'm really gonna feel like an stupid

The seller shouldnt be angry over anything. The customer is always right. From my understanding you tryed to make contact with the seller & got no reply. I would have done the same thing & started a thread on it. The only thing I would have done differently is posted who the seller was so others would not have the same problems. I know some people would disagree with what I said but thats life. If you are not happy with the product the seller should give you a full refund & thats that. I would highly recommend not installing because like someonme else pointed out it would seem to make the vehicle unstable. Now with that being said I am not a mechanic but I do ocassionally play one on TV. :D Also I have a gasser & not a crd but have never came across anything like that ever on this forum. With there being left & right springs with different amount of coil space.

Actually they won't work with the combination of lift i have. Two, i cannot pass them on to another potential buyer if they don't match. I think someone else might be a little upset with me if i sold them like this :o

I'm not going to go that far and smear someones name on this site. I have received a response from him and he was unaware of the mix up and should be taken care of. I too have a gasser and was in process of doing something new  found they will not work, I didn't noticed the difference till i got ready to ship them myself. Thanks for all your input folks, Like i said this should all be taken care of.
