That is one of the mounting bolts for the rack&pinion, that was part of the flanged part of the bushing that surrounds that bolt that came off.I would not worry about it till you get play inj the R&P to cradle. Those bushing are cheap but cost big $$$ to have replaced since the rack needs to come out(12 hours labor or so to install $25 in parts).

No problem.By they way I noticed alot of oil residue from oil filter changes all over the R&P,that is what caused the bushing to start to come apart,it will get worse. You should always clean off all that oil that spills when you pull that filter off, rubber does not like oil.

Hey Bones,
I went to your pic page.
Where did you get the L.O.S.T. trim for the 3rd brake light?

1996XJ and I replaced both of mine in an hour or two without removing the whole R&P. It was tough pounding out the old bushings in my Renegade because of the additional fan and shroud (tow package). You have access to those bushings directly with out those in the way. It could be less than an hour's work if you're lucky.
