Well, in the name of lost, perhaps you can all help me decide which photo to enter. You know, something that really shows off the ability of a KJ during a Jamboree.

You can check out my pics from two prior Jamborees here:
http://jeeptales.com/05catskills.cfm
http://jeeptales.com/05poconos.cfm

(go to the bottom of the page and click on Adam under photo gallery for each event)

plus a few more here:

I'm thinking this one is cool and also includes the Jamboree window decal, which I'm sure they'll like: (sorry for the large size, but you need it to see the writing good on the KJ. I'd crop it before submitting it I guess)

(photos replaced with links because of large file sizes. sorry `bout that.)

Second Picture Adam. Looks better even though you cant see the Jeep Jam sticker.

I was thinking the first one could even have a title: "You can lead a KJ to water..."

This place is called "Love Canal" because of the wonder aroma that comes from this mud (and stays for weeks after driving through it!).

but the real question is, was those pics taken at a Jeep Jam? Unfortunately the rules say that they need to be from a Jam...which to me is messed up since for people that haven't been to one, but want to, can't try to win a free jam trip...ohh well...

But OF COURSE they were taken at a Jeep Jam.

Didn't you see the rest? They're all featured at www.jeeptales.com under PAST EVENTS.

In fact, if you look at the 2006 JJUSA brochure, you will will find one of my pics featured in it. But it's of the CJ in front of me.

Anyone from the East going to Poconos this year? I'll be there. Likely be at Pine Barrens and Paragon too.

I may be at Paragon. It depends on if this "Film Crew" needs my KJ at that event and want to send me up there for free .

Post subject:  Poconos Jamboree cancelled!!!

ARGH! They lost land rights:

From the JJUSA web site:

Quote:
Poconos Big Boulder Cancellation
It is with great regret that we must inform you of the cancellation of the 2006 Poconos Big Boulder Jeep Jamboree. The land we have used for the Jamboree has recently been leased by a new company and they have no interest in hosting our event, despite trying to convince them of how wonderful Jeep owners are. We have exhausted all of our options, even talking directly to the new land-owner.
The positive news is that we offer several other great Jeep Jamboree events in close proximity to the Poconos Big Boulder Jamboree, with two right in Pennsylvania. The Penn’s Woods Jeep Jamboree (June 23 – 25, 2006) is located in Bradford, PA, while the Paragon Adventure Jeep Jamboree (September 8 - 10, 2006) is headquartered just 30 minutes from Poconos in Blakeslee, PA. Just over the Eastern Pennsylvania border is Monticello, New York; home to the Catskill Mountains Jeep Jamboree (September 22 - 24, 2006).
With all of these other options we hope you’ll still join us at a Jeep Jamboree USA event this year. We apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused you or your family. If you have any additional questions regarding this cancellation, please contact our office at (530) 333-4777.

Very frustrating for a NE jeeper. They lost NH run at Mohawk trail last year. I hope this is not a trend for land useage!
