Where can I find a shock that has 2 - 4 inches of travel at a good price? Thanks in advance.

I think you'd want more then 2-4 inches of travel. Rusty's has remote resevoir shocks for $80 a piece (haven't seen any one use em yet but they look sweet.) I believe he also sells Rancho's fairly cheap.

I assume what you mean is 2-4 inches of travel MORE THAN STOCK. Is that right? If that's the case, I am using Rancho RS 5248 shocks on mine and they have the extra travel needed for a lift. They are $40 each.

If you really want a slick set up, weld on a set of Al's lower shock mounts, they sit higher then stock so they wont drag on rocks and let you use stock length shocks.

I know I ask alot of questions but I am learning a lot! Where could I get a set of those? Are they just for the rear? Which would be cheaper just getting the new Blisten shocks from Rusty or your way?

Al's mounts do sound cool. But you'd have to weld those on, right?

I got my shocks from www.rockymountainsusp.com but you can get them lots of places.

Anyone make an adjustable dampening/rebound shock for a stock suspension?

Probably not the best option but I have a set of Rusty's shocks (new in box) that I did not put on when I lifted my KJ (went with ranchos). I'll part with them $40.00 plus shipping, will also send all the washers that he sends to fix the problem of them not being the proper shocks.

Al's shock mounts are weld on, so if you don't have that capability I'd go for the aftermarket shocks. Bilstein is probably the most expensive way to go but also probably the best (won't overheat as easily). The rusty's are the cheapest way to go. Best bang for the buck is the Rancho's or OME's.

i retract my previous statement, a full coilover would be the best setup. Period. It would be the most expensive (when I checked, King 2.0 Coilovers were going for $750 a pair). The fab work to install them may be out of your league but it would be so worth it to have a full 14 inches of travel. Ditch the rear sway bar. Add the Rubicon Express arms and you would have amazing articulation.
