When my Jeep is moving, the heat works fine and blows hot air. When I stop at a stoplight and sit for a while, I can feel the air getting gradually cooler like I switched it over to cool air. As soon as I get moving again it switches back to hot air.

With it stopped and in neutral with the engine revved up it still blows cold air and when moving if I put it in neutral and let the engine idle and the Jeep coast it stays blowing hot air.

Any ideas on what could be the cause?

Sounds like I should check the coolant level. Thanks!

Wow, it was almost a gallon low on coolant. Thanks for the quick reply, the heat works again.

Now to find out where the coolant is leaking from...

No problem.

Check the sides of the radiator really good. Those plastic end caps are bad for cracking and leaking.

Water pump is also a good thing to check.
