This is really exciting news because for me, it translates into continued support for the entire Jeep product line - including my CRD Libby! Notice how all the gloom and doom in Detroit is all GM and Ford? I have yet to see Chrysler in the "dire straights" category. Magnum, Charger, Patriot, Compass, '05 Liberty redesign, and now the new Wrangler!

Looks like Chrysler pulled off the new products in the nick of time!

If I had the money, I'd buy one.

Interesting to note that they list a "new" 3.8L V6. I thought they were using the same 3.7L V6 as the KJ??

Its ineresting how the TK shares almost the exact same grill setup as the 05-06 KJ's. Removable fenders could work out for better or worse. I hate the fogs in the bumper. Should be interesting to see one on the trail in the next year or two.

I don't like the slanted front grill... looks perilously "Hummer-esque" overall.

It's interesting to see BFG Mud Terrain tires on it! No more Goodyears!! Maybe Jeep is finally getting the picture.

Why the windshield tie downs?? I thought the hard top wasn't removable. I'm not crazy about it. The front end looks ... dumb.

I think it's great! I wouldnt buy one because I dont like the slanted grill or fog light location but I do love the fact that I will get a great deal on an leftover 2006 Rubicon because of it! :D

is it just me or does that look like a renegade frontend??? anywho the "new" 3.8 V6 is a actually a minivan motor...DCX could not produce enough 3.7's to meet demand (think of all the vehicles its already in, dakota, ram, 300, magnum, liberty, grand cherokee, commander). The 3.7 is sorta like the old Chevy small block in that it is used in everything.

i love the larger windows and large tires....anyone know if its still SFA? im thinking in a few years here....nah ill wait until all the kinks are out of the new model and they have the 4-door with a diesel available

The 3.8L V-6 is probably the same engine as the KJ with a little more displacement. Has anyone checked what the 07 KJ will have for a power plant? Maybe we will get the extra tenth of a liter as well!

Anyway, I dig the look of the new Wrangler...looks like it is a Jeep. :)

The 3.8L is a pushrod engine. The 3.7L is an overhead cam engine.
