All right smart folks, will this set up work? i'd like to add a rear hitch from HIDDEN HITCH but I already have the Mopar (Borla) Dual Exhaust... does this mean I can't have the hitch?

Also, how hard is it to install the HIDDEN HITCH front hitch? I'd really like to have that, ya never know when you'll be doing some H2 Search and Rescuse...

ok, the rear hitch i have is a drawtite. the edges of the hitch dont extend past the mounting holes on the frame. so look under each pipe and make sure they clear the mount holes and you should be all set. if not you can allway un bolt the 2 pipes and bring them to any exhaust shop and have them add a bit of a bend on the passanger side pipe, and add an inch or to to the lenght of the pipe going towards the drivers side before the 90 degree bend to send the pipe out the back, thus moving the pipe towards the edge of the jeep.

I also have a HiddenHitch front. you have to remove the front bumper cover, kind of a pain in the booty, and you need to re-rivit a bunch of plastic to put it back on later. as for the hitch it self... you need to mount the hitch up with the 4 bolts in the front most part of the frame rails... then drill one more hole per side on the frame rails. the witch of it is that you have to send a carrage bolt and washer about 16inches into the frame rails and drop into the new holes you just drilled. I tack welded the top of the bolt to a long 1/4" square rod and just slid it down the rail into the holes.

scale of 1-10, ten being one of those I should have paid someone to do it... i would say about a 6... not that bad.

Go to the Borla website. Look at the liberty w/dual exhaust. it has a hitch. As for the duals that you already have, I have the same kit, and it included a spacer that you could use to mount the hitch evenly since you have to use the hitch mount holes on the driver's side for the exhaust hanger. Send me a private message if you have any other questions.

Rick
